SSC CHT Age Limit:

Minimum 18 years and Maximum 30 years as on 1st August 2024. i.e. Candidates born not before 02.08.1994 and not later than 01.08.2006 are eligible to apply.

Upper Age Relaxation – 05 years for SC / ST, 03 years for OBC and Plus 10 years for PwD.

SSC CHT Eligibility Criteria:

Junior Hindi Translator/Junior Translation Officer/Junior Translator:

(1) Master’s Degree from a recognized university in:

  • Hindi with English as a compulsory/elective subject or medium of examination.
  • English with Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject or medium of examination.
  • Any subject with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory/elective subject or medium of examination.
  • Any subject with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject or medium of examination.
  • Any subject with Hindi and English as compulsory/elective subjects or either as the medium of examination and the other as a compulsory/elective subject.

(2) Additional Requirements:

  • Recognized diploma/certificate in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa or two years of translation experience in a Central/State Government office, including Government of India undertakings.

Senior Hindi Translator/Senior Translator:

Master’s Degree from a recognized university in:

  • Hindi with English as a compulsory/elective subject or medium of examination.
  • English with Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject or medium of examination.
  • Any subject with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory/elective subject or medium of examination.
  • Any subject with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject or medium of examination.
  • Any subject with Hindi and English as compulsory/elective subjects or either as the medium of examination and the other as a compulsory/elective subject.

Additional Requirements:

Eligible candidates should apply online through the SSC Online Application Portal only.

Visit (www.ssc.gov.in), click the “Apply” button in the Quick Links category. Then choose “Combined Hindi Translator Examination-2024” and click “Apply”. Click “Register Now” to complete the one-time SSC Registration, and create a Username and Password. After registration, candidates should log in using their Username (Registration Number) and Password.

After logging in, candidates are required to fill in basic, personal, and communication details, and upload a scanned copy of a color passport-size photograph, signature, and other required documents.
