Superintending Medical Officer (Orthopaedics)

OIL Age Limit

(as on 01/07/2025):

Maximum 37 years for UR (assumed, varies by discipline). Relaxation applicable:

OBC (NCL): 3 years

SC/ST: 5 years

PwBD: 10 years (additional 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC)

Ex-Servicemen: As per Govt. rules

J&K Domicile (01/01/1980-31/12/1989): 5 years

OIL Pay Scale

Rs. 80000 to 220000

Besides Basic Pay and Industrial pattern of DA, the other benefits include HRA or Company leased/self lease accommodation, free medical benefits for self & dependents, Gratuity/PF, House Building Loan, Vehicle Loan, Group Insurance, etc. as per rules of the company.

Provisionally selected candidate will be placed in Grade C in the pay scale of ₹80,000-2,20,000 (starting Basic Pay of ₹80,000).

The selected candidate will have to serve a probationary period of one year and will be confirmed in writing after successful completion of the same.

Approximate total emoluments in Grade C at minimum of scale will be around ₹1,50,000 per month.

OIL Educational Qualifications:

MBBS from a recognized university, registered with Medical Council of India/State Medical Council.

MD/MS in relevant disciplines (e.g., General Medicine, Surgery, Radiology) for specialized posts.

All courses must be recognized by the Government of India.

Minimum 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD) or equivalent CGPA, as per institute norms.

Selection Process:

Personal Interview (PI) for shortlisted candidates.
Pre-Employment Medical Examination (PEME) at OIL Hospital, Duliajan, or by authorized medical officers.
Document Verification. Final selection subject to medical fitness and verification.
