The age limit as per Apprenticeship Rules.

Heavy Vehicles Stipend

Graduate Apprentice (Engineering, Non-Engineering): ₹ 9000/- per month.

Diploma Apprentice: ₹ 8000/- per month

Heavy Vehicles Eligibility Criteria:

Category – I Graduate Apprentices:

A full-time Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a Statutory University in the relevant discipline.

A full-time Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of Parliament in the relevant discipline.

Graduate examination of professional bodies recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to the above.

Category – II Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:

A full-time Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government in the relevant discipline.

A full-time Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a university in the relevant discipline.

A Diploma in Engineering and Technology granted by an Institution recognized by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to the above.

Category – III Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentices:

A full-time Degree in Arts/ Science/ Commerce/ Humanities such as BA/ B.Sc./ B.Com/ BBA/ BBM/ BCA, etc., granted by a Statutory University/ Deemed University in the relevant discipline and UGC approved.

Heavy Vehicles Selection Process:

The Board of Apprenticeship Training (SR) is tasked with preparing a shortlist from the online applications. Candidates will be shortlisted based on the percentage of marks obtained in their basic prescribed qualification for their respective disciplines.

Shortlisted candidates will be notified via their registered email and must appear for certificate verification at Heavy Vehicles Factory, Avadi, Chennai.
