WBPSC Age Limit:

Minimum 18 years and Maximum 40 years as of 1st January 2023.

Born not earlier than 2nd January 1983 and not later than 1st January 2005.

Age relaxation – 05 years for SC / ST candidates of West Bengal and 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates of West Bengal.

WBPSC Salary: 

Pay Level 6 ₹ 22,700/- to 58,500/- as per ROPA-2019 -besides D.A., M.A. and H.R.A. admissible as per rules.

WBPSC Eligibility Criteria:

(1) Pass in Madhyamik Examination (Matric, 10th 12th) of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent.
(2) Ability to read, write, and speak in Bengali / Nepali.
(3) Knowledge of Bengali will be tested for candidates whose mother tongue is other than Bengali/ Nepali at the time of the Personality Test. Candidature of the candidates with average and/or poor performance in the said knowledge of Bengali Test shall liable to be canceled.
(4) Must possess sound health and ability to undertake extensive tours in rural areas of West Bengal.

WBPSC Selection Process:

WBPSC Exam Syllabus:

(1) General Studies (Matters of common experience including everyday science, current events and problems with special reference to India, elementary knowledge of Indian History and Indian Geography).
(2) Arithmetic (Questions will be set on the basis of the syllabus of the Madhyamik Examination of the W.B.B.S.E. with mental ability).
(3) Assessment and evaluation of answer scripts done by the Commission shall be final.
