IAF Eligibility Criteria:

Science Subjects:

(1) Candidates should have passed Matric +2 / Intermediate/ 10+2/ Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, and English from an Education Board listed as COBSE member with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. (OR)
(2) Passed 03 years of Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology/ Information Technology) from a government-recognized Polytechnic institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in diploma course. (OR)
(3) Passed Two years of Vocational Courses with non-vocational subjects viz. Physics and Maths from State Education Boards/ Councils which are listed in COBSE with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in vocational courses.

Other Than Science Subjects:

(1) Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any subject approved by Central / State Education Boards listed as COBSE member with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. (OR)
(2) Passed two years of vocational courses from Education Boards listed as COBSE members with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the vocational course or in Intermediate/ Matriculation if English is not a subject in Vocational Course.

IAF Exam Syllabus / Structure:

(a) Science Subjects. The total duration of the online test shall be 60 minutes and shall comprise English, Physics, and Mathematics as per the 10+2 CBSE syllabus.

(b) Other Than Science Subjects. The total duration of the online test shall be 45 minutes and shall comprise English as per the 10+2 CBSE syllabus and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).

(c) Science Subjects & Other Than Science Subjects. The total duration of the online test shall be 85 minutes and shall comprise English, Physics, and Mathematics as per the 10+2 CBSE syllabus and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).

(d) Marking pattern for online test: (i) One mark for every correct answer,

(ii) Nil (0) marks for unattempted questions, (iii) 0.25 marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer.

IAF Physical Standards:

Height: Minimum acceptable height is 152.5 cm
Chest: For Male and Female candidates: The chest wall should be well proportioned with a minimum range of expansion of 05 cm.
Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
Hearing: The candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.
Dental: Should have healthy gums, a good set of teeth, and a minimum of 14 dental points.
Visual Standards: 6/12 each eye, correctable to 6/6 each eye.
Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) is not acceptable.
General Health: The candidate should be of normal anatomy without loss of any appendages. He should be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or infection and skin ailments. Candidate shall be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.
Gynaecological Examination (For female candidates): The examination covers external genitalia, hernia orifices, and the perineum, and any evidence of stress urinary incontinence, or genital prolapse outside the introitus.

Candidates are to fill out online Applications by Agnipath Vayu’s official website agnipathvayu.cdac.in from 27th July 2023.

The candidates are required to upload the required scanned copy of the 10th Passing Certificate, 10+2 Mark Sheet, Higher education Qualification/ Additional skill certificates, Passport size recent color photograph, left-hand thumb impression image, signature, and Candidate’s parent’s (Father/Mother) / Guardian’s signature image.
