SWR Age Limit

Between 18 and 25 years as on 01.01.2023.

Born between 02.01.1998 To 01.07.2005.

No age relaxation shall be permissible.

Educational Qualifications

Level-5: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline or equivalent.

Level-4: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline or equivalent (OR) Pass in 1st Year B.Sc. (Physics) or a pass in 12th (+2 stage) in Higher Secondary in Science (Physics or Maths)

Level-3/2: Passed 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination for non-technical posts (OR) Matriculation Plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship/ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT (OR) 10th Standard Pass.

Sports’ Norms for Recruitment

The minimum sports norms for recruitment of sportspersons against sport quota through Open advertisement for both (team and individual) events shall be as under:

Represented the Country in any of the Category-B Championships/events (OR)
At least 3rd Position in any of the Category-C Champions/events (OR)
At least 3rd Position in Senior/Youth/Junior National Champions. (OR)
At least 3rd Position in National Games organized under aegis of Indian Olympic Association. (OR)
At least 3rd Position in All India Inter University Championship organized under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities. (OR)
1st Position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category).

Categorization of International Championships

Category-A: Olympic Games (Senior Category)

Category-B: World Cup (Junior/Senior Category), World Championships (Junior/Senior Category), Asian Games (Senior Category), Commonwealth Games (Senior Category)

Category-C: Commonwealth Championships (Junior/Senior Category), Asian Championships/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior Category) etc.

SWR Examination Fee

₹ 500/- for General / Other candidates.

₹ 250/- for candidates belonging to SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen / Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Women, Minorities and Economically Backward Classes.

The fee should be paid online through Internet banking or Debit or Credit Cards.

Selection Process

For game skill, physical fitness & coach’s observations during Trials – 40 Marks

For assessment of recognized Sports Achievements as per norms – 50 Marks

Educational Qualification – 10 Marks

For this Recruitment, all eligible candidates will be called for the trials.

Trials of the eligible candidates shall be conducted to assess the sports performance and

suitability.

The application should be filled by the candidate in his/her own handwriting and signed.

The postal cover shall be super scribed as “Application for Group ‘C’ post against Sports Quota (Open Advertisement Scheme) for the year 2022-23”.

The last date for receipt of applications is 16/01/2023 up to 17.45 Hours.

For candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, the closing date for receipt of applications by post will be 17.45 Hours of 31/01/2023.
